Small Groups
Here at St Peter's we want people to live and share the love and hope that Jesus brings with all people. One of the ways we do that is small groups - a fun, safe environment for building relationships, sharing and growing as God's people.
The purpose of these groups is to
- share our lives, our faith, our highs, our lows
- care for each other
- pray for each other
- Fellowship with each other
- Build each other up in Christ
- Learn and grow together as Christians
- Be accountable to each other as we grow in the faith
- Have fun together
We have a number of different types of small groups from Bible Study groups to prayer groups to social groups to card making groups. If you are interested in becoming a part of a group, please contact the Ministry Centre for more details or email us at mail@stpetersloxton.org.au.
Membership - Foundations
If you are looking to become a member at St Peter's, we ask you to come along to a Sunday afternoon seminar. It gives you a chance:
- to meet the staff
- learn more about St Peter's (our history, beliefs & vision)
- meet others who are looking to connect with St Peter's in a more formal way.
Adult Education
Growing is what God wants us to do. His desire is that :
"… being rooted and established in love, [we] may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge - that [we] may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God." Ephesians 3:16-19
Each year, we offer a number of five or six week Grow Classes to help people grow in their relationship with God and in being his people.
Grow Classes include:
- In depth Bible Study
- Marriage Enrichment (Power of We)
- Parenting Classes
- Personality Discovery
- Grief
- Gift Identification
- Christian Spirituality (how to pray, mediate, read the Word)
